About the Author:

Sherri Flynt, MPH, RD, LDN, serves as the Nutritional Excellence Manager at Florida Hospital Center for Nutritional Excellence where she works with a team of nutritional professionals dedicated to promoting healthier eating habits. Sherri holds a master’s degree in public health as well as registered dietitian credentials from Loma Linda University.  Sherri is actively involved with the development of a pediatric obesity program at Florida Hospital for Children and is co-author of SuperSized Kids: How to Rescue Your Child from the Obesity Threat.

Chef Edwin Cabrera, Executive Chef with Florida Hospital’s Center for Nutritional Excellence, entered the culinary field after dancing classical ballet for fifteen years, and now develops innovative recipes reflecting the principles of Florida Hospital’s CREATION Health initiative. A graduate of Scottsdale Culinary Institute in Arizona, he holds an AA degree in Occupational Studies in Culinary Arts and Sciences, and Restaurant Management. Chef Edwin has worked at a diverse array of restaurants including Jiko – The Cooking Place at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Bistro de Paris, Tantra (Indian cuisine), Morton’s of Chicago and Canyon Ranch Health Spa.
